Job Summary This position provides professional financial management assistance to the administration, Department Heads, and Dean for the College of Agriculture as well as the Director and Associate Directors of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station. The individual selected for the position will provide assistance with the development, monitoring, and reporting of financial management services to include review and analysis of financial data, forecasting, and report preparation and development. In addition, the individual will evaluate, develop, and recommend fiscal policy that will result in sound fiscal management for the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station and the College of Agriculture.  

Minimum Qualifications Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; five (5) years' experience in financial management and accounting, experience must include a solid background in accounting and experience with financial management in the area of planning, forecasting and budgeting; and knowledge of accounting and budget principles, practices, and the analysis of financial data.

Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience.

Applicants must be organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously. A proven history of working both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines while adjusting workload is also required. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess excellent presentation skills, written and interpersonal communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering customer service. Extensive experience using MS Excel, relational databases, and accounting software to provide solutions by analyzing complex sets of data is also required. The candidate selected for the position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States by the appointment date and continue working legally for the proposed term of the appointment.
